[Benton Fraser] OS: Linux [openSUSE Tumbleweed] 'The four lowest maximum extents in the satellite record have all occurred in the past four years'. Probably a key fact, but whether the September low will be a record will depend mainly upon the Arctic weather over the season and not the current ice extent. What we an say is that more annual records of winter and summer lows will almost certainly happen, until the winter low is significantly lower than any recorded previously to now and the summer low is very close to zero ice. |
