After pleasant spells of sunshine and a max of 9.9C yesterday it dropped to 1.4C overnight.
The S wind is already picking up, and the veil of high cloud is steadily thickening (the rain has reached Scilly) and a temperature of 6C, it feels rather bleak. There are often false radar echoes around the coast of Mount's Bay in these conditions, particular along the coast from Porthcurno to Penzance. Today is a good example. https://www.netweather.tv/live-weather/radar The only cloud is still fairly thin & high, with the sun visible through. It seems associated with southerly winds ahead of frontal systems. Graham Penzance |
