[WR] 2003 precipitation and anomalies
Thought I'd look at my sites precipitation statistics and anomalies for
the year, and then compare them with the stat's on the Met office site that Martin linked to yesterday; http://www.metoffice.com/climate/uk/...3dryspell.html The main points I noted were that we seemed to have a wetter May and September than most, but a much more dry October (compared to average). November has been very dry so far - but I get the feeling that's about to change. Month 2003 Total Anomaly from eLTA January: 81.4mm 90% February: 28.0mm* 32% March: 29.0mm* 47% April: 49.0mm 98% May: 109.8mm* 231% June: 53.0mm 106% July: 66.2mm 110% August: 17.4mm* 29% September: 72.4mm 103% October: 26.6mm* 24% November: 5.6mm 16% (to 10th) Total: 538.4mm 76% *denotes 10 year site record.
