I cant take credit for these I'm afraid, just posted the link. I think my handbook may help here. There are six "Photo Effects" I can choose from: Off - that's the one I use Vivid - Emphasises Contrast and Colour Saturation to record in bold colour Neutral - Tones down contrast and colour Low Sharpening - Records with softened outlines Sepia - sepia tones recorded B/W - black and white Now were you the person with the A70, or this some other kind of camera? BTW I got a sort of sepia shot years ago of Mallard arriving at York station using an ordinary SLR (which I no longer have) - it was taken in very late afternoon hence the sepia effect. -- Surfer! Yes, it was I who posted my camera was an A70 and those effects are what is listed in the handbook for that camera. BTW I got a sort of sepia shot years ago of Mallard arriving at York station using an ordinary SLR (which I no longer have) - it was taken in LOL - I have dozens of train photos from York, as we used to take the "children" to the museum frequently when they were young. Making me all nostalgic now so I'll stop:-) -- Mike Coleraine posted to uk.sci.weather 23/11/2003 11:09:34 UTC My aurora images here http://www.mtullett.plus.com/29a-oct and http://www.mtullett.plus.com/20-nov/ |

Making me all nostalgic now so I'll stop:-) We spent a day at York railway museum during our honeymoon in '75 - sad or what? Funny, but I don't really remember much about the weather that weekend ![]() -- Anita Evans North Cumbria (anita[at]ra.evans.clara.co.uk to reply by e-mail) |

A future issue of 'Weather' will include three of Mike's excellent photographs
of the last display (a few weeks ago), - there will also be a short article on the event by Edward Hanna of Sheffield University. Julian Julian Mayes, West Molesey, Surrey (editor ' Weather' ) |

LOL - I have dozens of train photos from York, But not with Mallard, unless you are pretty ancient even by my standards! By the time I started going to York from Birmingham in 1962, the Deltic Diesels had taken over from the A4s, but I have a vague memory of seeing the Mallard then. My photo though is from the late 1970s or early 80s, at the museum. Currently only +4.7C here with the remnants of last night's inversion almost gone. -- Mike Coleraine posted to uk.sci.weather 23/11/2003 13:24:08 UTC My aurora images here http://www.mtullett.plus.com/29a-oct and http://www.mtullett.plus.com/20-nov/ |

Heading for another sub-zero night here (East Fife), I think. At 3pm spots that hadn't got any sun still had the white of last night's frost and the pavement outside the house was slippery at 1pm. -- Surfer!
