Unless my eyes are optimistically deceiveing me - latest 15 min Rainfall
plot shows some of the more northern showers now being influenced by a
northerly rather than NNWesterly.

Its a start I suppose.

Biting NW'ly here on Wash coastline - temp dropped from 4.5c to 2.0c

between
15:00 and 16:00 today. Now 1.5C - couple of lightning flashes in the
distance over the sea...

It somehow doesn't feel "wintry" here in Rayleigh.

Yes, there is a brisk wind blowing but it doesn't have that biting chill

to it.
I am not conviced that we will be getting any snow here tonight.
Seems too mild to me.

If today was to be a taste of winter, then I am very disappointed. :-(

Default Bizarre warning for Essex and Kent

It's starting to turn, but how Kent and Essex are affected (as warned by
Met) still is a question that remains.

-0.1C and a dew point of -3.4C hopefully means any precipitation is snow.

We tend to get the tail end of it, as the next low approaches from the
NW and pushes a ridge in front of it our wind veers to a more NNE or
even NE before the ridge finally takes full influence. So I would
imagine between the hours of 4 am to mid day tomorrow we have a fairly
good chance of seeing something down here. Tomorrow night we should
see quite a severe frost for time in the SE.

Then someone mentioned Christmas, and everything comes out in a sweat!

22:30 ~ 1.9°c, dew point -2.8°c (important when precipitation is
concerned, and I suspect my dew point is artifically high)

Latest AVBrief image looking much more promising - wind has really got up
here in Essex too.
