O doubting Thomases!
We ended up with 4 inches of level snow and 3 ft drifts. A few miles away
cars were abandoned in the snow drifts. Some apologies to the Met O are due I think! Well I would still doubt the BBC version of events in terms of the big
bright area of severe disruption stretching from Scotland to Kent and virtually splitting the UK into two halves. You just happened to be in one of the few localised areas where it happened! Dave. |

Might as well have not bothered then eh? The Met Office made a big issue of
snow in the East, they got it wrong because they issued a weather warning to all eastern counties of heavy snow with up to 6" possible. Does 0" count as a successful outcome to areas 15 miles inland? -- Dave in Ferryhill, Co. Durham, UK. Brian did you really think the situation called for the showers to drift so
far inland? shame on you. The situation, given the wind direction etc, only called for coastal showers... Rob p***** off WITH the snow BrianT wrote in message ...
