Snowing in northern Greece
Good evening all.
Various areas in the north of the country have been reporting light snow down to sea level since this morning (Kavala, Ptolemaida, Florina, Kastoria etc). A few snowflakes have appeared in the centre of Thessaloniki, too. 8 cm of snow lying in Florina from the weekend's generally light snowfalls. The drop in temperature is not expected until tomorrow in Athens, with possible snow showers down to the beaches (T850 down to -10C). Crete is the most favourable area for some heavy white stuff once again. Yannis, SE Athens +10.1C, RH 69%, SLP 1012.1 hPa |
