Logging into the ng just now I feel like Ive entered the twilight zone
with all these snow reports. Feels rather surreal when its a balmy 6.8C
here in Fleet, Hants.

It feels like a parallel universe in the snow as well, believe me!

Now starting to settle on path road and tree branches here and with dew
point hovering around zero and wind from the east we could still have more
to come. Looking forward to the 13:00 radar image.

As in keeping those skis parallel! I've just been out on my cross country
skis - they didn't even come out of the shed last year.

0.3C and still snowing. Not great cover - certainly not enough for
downhill skis at probably around 0.5" but very nice anyway

Not enough for my snowboard, alas! But then again, there's no slopes steep enough here so I'd have to get my Kite out and Kite-Board across the fields!

Nary a flake to be seen here - blue sky with a few wisps of cirrus, and a
gentle breeze. I am off to take a walk and see what the feathered populace
are up to.

Nor mine..

Been out once this winter - Peebles - 22nd December.

Ours have been in the loft for at least 3 years now. When we first moved
here (about 16 years ago now) we could guarantee some good x country
skiing on Hartside several times a year, or even just up the road
sometimes. Can't even be bothered to bring them downstairs now,
particularly as mice have eaten most of the foam on our boots. Having
said that, I'm sure I read that some of the UK ski resorts have been
doing quite well this season??

Hi Anita,

Quite ironic isn't it after closing Glencoe. My inbox has been full of snow
alerts from Cairngorm and other ski resorts.
