About 1cm - 2cm here (depending on where the wind was able to blow it
away or not). It partially melted but has refrozen making everything
extremely icy. Even the main roads are icy and the paths are reminiscent
of a fall of freezing rain.

Lots of people obviously haven't seen ice or snow before on the
University campus - I saw one guy on a bike try to go round a corner but
the bike didn't!

Hi James,

I don't think the showers you are referring to are from the front - the
front appears to still be over the English/Scottish borders on the 10:00
radar. I think you are seeing showers that have come in through the Cheshire
Gap to the west of you.

Hello all.
How much have you got.
Got a decent fall here in South Cambridgeshire. I would guess at 3 to 4
inches. A really good covering and the trees resemble a Xmas card.
Temp now is -4C.
So much for BBC Look East who said, "a dusting". This is no dusting.

For
this part of East Anglia this is a pretty good fall.
Some places in North Cambs from what I have heard have had 6 inches.
Well done to Metcheck who got the timing of this lot spot on.

Southwest lincs, just a couple of cm. The second front looks to be passing
off to the west as people are reporting snow from stoke down to coventry

and
then northampton. I can see cloud to the west, but it won't come over here

A dusting around 21:00-22:00 GMT last night, that all melted when it
then rained steadily for an hour (now that I *wasn't* expecting!),
plus another dusting this morning that's melting in the sun and on
the wet ground.

Bewdley, Worcs, ~90m asl.

Here in Whitefield, North Manchester we received around 1.5" of snow overnight.
Unfortunately, it is now raining, though the lying snow does appear to be
holding it's ground for the time being.

Current temp: 3C

Paul.
