Widespread showers in Scotland on Thursday night continue into Friday.
Rain moves into SW England around midnight and spreads NE into south Wales,
the Midlands and southern England by Friday morning. SE England stays dry
at first but the rain moves SE to clear Kent by early afternoon. An area
of heavy showers develops over NW Scotland. Further rain reaches southern
Ireland by early afternoon and moves into Wales, SW and NW England by early
evening. It breaks up by mid-evening with showers following.
