"Jack Harrison" wrote in message news:F5MZb.431$xx3.235@newsfe1-win... My son has just phoned from the Dolomites where he has been skiing. They have had huge snowfalls and it is brown (and apparently doesn't taste very pleasant either!). The locals say it contains dust from the Sahara which sounds very plausible. I lived in Greece for 5 years and it is traditional lore that you should whitewash your house for Easter. Most people do, but leave it till the last minute. This is of course very traditional as well, called in UK and USA businesses as "Just in Time" and considered a virtue, laziness if you are another nationality. The day after most of the whitewashing occurred we had the same winds and sand and lived for a year with brown freshly whitewashed houses! Stuart Hudson P.S. Yannis, I am sure that the Olympics will teach the rest of the world what true just in time management really means, if it is not a huge triumph I shall be very surprised. |

We sometimes amaze our own selves. I've heard that the good work that has been done during the last month is more than what had been done for many preceding months.
