Anyone interested in the westerliness, southerliness, and
anticyclonic indices I wrote about in earlier months can see all the April stuff in graphical form at: http://www.climate-uk.com/indices04.htm The very cyclonic nature of April (and therefore its wettness) in the last 20 years stands out ... but I was surprised to see that it is not unprecedented.
