![]() just wanted to note that we have made our UK 15-minute rainfall images freely available for a limited time period. We will introduce an extended subscription based service within the coming weeks. This trial is part of the site implementation process. Comments - as usual - highly welcome. Thanks Eric for that but local area radar would be even better ........................................ :-) best regards, Alan -- Wirral,Merseyside. 53.1 N 3.0 W 40m amsl http://www.wirralcam.com/frame.htm |

Maybe they may extend the coverage to the whole of Europe like some of the French sites. There seems to be cover of Germany, Benelux, Austria and Switzerland. Haven't found France yet. The French guard their radar data fiercely in an attempt, probably forlorn, to make vast amounts of dosh out of it. Even they now make one image every six hours available on their website at www.meteo.fr Meteo France used to be very good at publishing large amounts of information in very usable formats at modest prices until about 1989, then they caught the "let's make money" bug from the UK Met Office in a big way. They'll learn too ... eventually. Philip Eden |

It includes popup and cookie management (so you could enable popups from certain [annoying] sites that need them and ignore from the rest). Check out mozilla.org Jonathan |

Maybe it is available as an add-on Are you referring to Thunderbird? I am not aware of any "synchronization" facility in IE, only in Outlook Express. If it is the mail reader (Thunderbird) that appears to be lacking that facility it may be because it works differently to OE. When you open your newsgroup section in TB, headers are automatically scanned for unread messages. Everything else is handled under View\Sort By, View\messages, and View\Threads. There is a lot in there and it takes a while to experiment to find what suits you best (well, it did with me). For me, it needed a different way of working with a reader but I would never go back to OE "synchronization" now. -- Howard Neil |
