Default [WR] Heavy shower

Had a look at my map and see that you are indeed not to far away ( as the
crow flies ). By road we are about 13 miles away from Sittingbourne. I
have to say, most of the time we seem to have our very own mini climate.
Even Sheerness, which is only 9 miles away can be wet and cloudy while its
dry and sunny here, very strange indeed.

Well at least the garden enjoyed it. I was only saying to my wife
yesterday, how dry the part of the garden was that gets the sun all day.

I
guess it was my fault it rained!!!

When I looked out of the window at 7am this morning, it was really

chucking
it down. Our patio area was almost completely under water! Cowstead

Corner
roundabout was under water!, that's on the main road from Leysdown to
Sheerness A249 junction with the B2231.

These showers must be confined to the extreme southeast, it

seems to
me.
Here at Warlingham, NE Surrey I measured 0.1 mm this morning from a

light
shower about 3 a.m. This morning there has been nothing more

sinister
than
light Sc though some moderate Cu is now starting to develop.

Hi Shaun,

0600/0815gmt I collected 5.6mm. Boughton-under-blean just se of you.

I too was surprised at the heavy rain this morning, but what a lovely
day it turned out to be.
I have just moved from Chelsham Surrey 185m asl to Herne Bay Kent, sea
level. Just a short distance from you nguk. Hope to see some better
storms down here this summer!!

Cheers
