23.2 degrees today, making it the warmest day of the year (so far!) in
Penzance. Even north coast cliff tops (like St Mawgan near Newquay) have reached 21 degrees. Also 10th consecutive dry day. We missed most of the early May rainfall. Graham Penzance Holiday Cottage www.easterling.freeserve.co.uk Penzance Weather www.easterling.freeserve.co.uk/weather.html |

Same here in Leeds, with 24.3C [75.7F] at 16:45.
After a day of hot sunshine, little cloud and little or no wind. "Graham Easterling" wrote in message ... 23.2 degrees today, making it the warmest day of the year (so far!) in Penzance. Likewise at Guildford with 22.4c
Still quite cloudy at times - with a light Easterly wind for the last few hours. Phil |

It was quite glorious here in Norfolk. Ideal conditions for a 33 mile pootle
round the lanes of Norfolk as part of the EDP Ride for Life. At 8am it was warm, but the cloud cover stopped it being hot. By lunchtime the cloud had largely cleared and it got rather warm. Glad my cycle pootling was done in the morning. Norfolk is remarkably pretty at this time of year - the hawthorn blossom is out in abundance and its scent filled the lanes as I cycled along. Quite glorious. I shall have to make some suitable sacrifice to the weather gods as a thank you ;-) Cheers. --This is an invalid email address to avoid spam-- to get correct one remove fame & fortune **$om $ --Due to financial crisis the light at the end of the tunnel is switched off-- |

Likewise at Guildford with 22.4c I'm rather surprised I'm reporting temps so similar to those much lower and normally 3 to 5C warmer. 23.4 is rather warm for up here. Generally speaking you can count the number of days above 20C in a month with the fingers of one hand, that includes the months of July and August... -- Cheers Dave. pam is missing e-mail |

Ground still damp just below the surface here, thanks to copious rain earlier in the month - you can practically *hear* the grass growing! -- Paul Hyett, Cheltenham |
