Default Warmest day of the Year

23.2 degrees today, making it the warmest day of the year (so far!) in
Penzance. Even north coast cliff tops (like St Mawgan near Newquay) have
reached 21 degrees.

Also 10th consecutive dry day. We missed most of the early May rainfall.

Same here in Leeds, with 24.3C [75.7F] at 16:45.
After a day of hot sunshine, little cloud and little or no wind.

Here in Rothwell, it certainly was a hot day in the sun Bob, unusual for May
and it was easy to get sun burn, which I did. The sun did seem very intense
today.

23.4C up here. Also the warmest day of the year so far. RH below 40%
and a nice gentle F2 or F3 to keep things tolerable.

Likewise at Guildford with 22.4c

Still quite cloudy at times - with a light Easterly wind for the last few
hours.

I'm rather surprised I'm reporting temps so similar to those much
lower and normally 3 to 5C warmer. 23.4 is rather warm for up here.

Generally speaking you can count the number of days above 20C in a
month with the fingers of one hand, that includes the months of July
and August...

2.3°C warmer than Brussels on Sunday - but we beat you hollow today, as
you'll see later on.
