The contrails were developing into cirrocumulus castellanus in lines. There
was also altocumulus lenticularlis going to altocumulus floccus. There were virga trails and cirrus s****atus everywhere! I was saying 'thunder risk' this afternoon.... keep your eyes open Jimmy. My daughter spotted them this morning and told me that "they looked like
feathers" which is a pretty good description from a 5 year old.. they were contrails gone to patchy cirrus. Later on the day there was a whole mixed bag of middle / upper level cloud including the big patch of Ci sp that the webcam caught - it all seems to have, erm, evaporated again. Oh, and I like this 'thunder risk' you mention 80) Jim --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
