WR - Lightning near Leeds
Indeed!
The radar returns are striking, if you excuse the pun, but it's not clear whether the storm will drift its way over here to Pudsy/Farsley, on the WNW of the City. |

Hi, Brian, I was down in God's County yesterday visiting my mother in Sherburn near Scarborough. Some beautiful Cb and Cg clouds building. One short shower around Catterick, but otherwise dry. Copley and particularly Bishop Auckland had thunderstorms around 13Z. I was amazed to see Scarborough topped the rainfall on Teletext p.407 with 13mm. It shows how local these heavy showers are and how difficult they are to forecast.
