An amateur site just a mile or so down the road was measuring
temperatures 2-3c lower in hot weather and 2-3c higher in cold weather. You can make your own mind up as to why this was occuring but the latest I hear is that the observer Mr Paul Demari had his card well and truly marked by the Met Office and the data has since been registered as null and void! Col gasped: What, the entire Barbourne data series has been expunged from the official records? I always wondered why me neck of the woods always seemeed to get into the news regarding temperature extremes in the UK! All has been revealed....... |
