I know there have been local variations (fabulous in Graham's area, no
doubt!) but generally this HP has brought not particularly nice weather to the SE. It has been often cloudy with that sapping heat and humidity that always seems to rise at night. The pressure has stuck around 1020mb which is no big deal. The summer weather type that seems distinctly missing in recent years is a dry easterly with clear blue skies, nice breeze and pleasant temps in the low to mid twenties. Is it nostalgia or do I remember my barometer occasionally almost reaching 31" (old money) - although that was probably in winter. In fact isn't the above weather synopsis also what has been missing for many a long winter? Dave |
