record maximum for the taking....?

28°C at Mildenhall 10am, not an impossible target I guess - if it's 31°C+
by 11am anywhere I'll be more convinced. If not today, then maybe later in
the week.

I'm fairly sure the Scottish record of 32.8°C will go this week (perhaps
today) and, if the sea breeze stays away, I reckon Prestwick will be the
place to do it.
Wonderful morning here after last night's storms - might even see 30°C here
today, a very rare thing! 23°C @ 10:30am.
Alex.

Well it's 31 at Heathrow at 10:50 GMT... 2 up on yesterday at the same
time, also 31 at Northolt, 1 up on Northolt yesterday, also 31 at
Cambridge. Hmmm... 35 max is more likely than 37 I'd say but you never
know, now the wind is more Southerly.

Ely shows a max of 39

http://weather.fenland.net/

and Cambridge may have done the same - currently showing 37.2 but history
graph is off-scale...
