This weeks storms saw me franticly trying to work out how to set up my
digi long exposure time to get some lightning shots. Unsuccessfully I might add. Anyone on here any experience of using a digi to photograph lightning ? Any pointers? Rich http://www.sh0pz.com/UK-lighning-map.htm When I was on holiday in Florida last year they had what many people called the worst thunderstorms thay'd had for 10 years. I just set my digi cam exposure time to maximum, left everything else on automatic and set it on a mini tri-pod pointing out the doors to the swimming pool. This is the first picture I got. http://www.zen16617.zen.co.uk/DCP_0146.jpg |

Your photo is better than anything I could do, Anita ! Peter Vancoillie - whom I do not know personally - is from Ghent and is a frequent contributor to the Belgian (Flemish) weather discussion group http://users.pandora.be/geert.vanden...vancoillie.htm On his website http://users.pandora.be/superpete/meteo/ are many more of his superb "storm chase" and other photos - most with commentaries in English and technical info.
