Heavy showers developed in places in Belgium yesterday evening Tuesday 10th
August. Associated CBs were photographed by Karel Holvoet of the Belgian (Flemish) weather discussion group from a hot air balloon above Villers-la-Ville about 40 km south of Brussels http://www.phys.uu.nl/~holvoet/040810 . Some rainfall totals from the showers: Leuven - NE of Brussels - 13 mm in 30 mins. Zomergem - 30 km SE of Bruges - 22 mm in 45 mins. Putte - 35 km NE of Brussels - 28 mm in an hour.
