.... fair point: without a sounding within that region (and none of those
available seem to be representative), it's difficult to decide on the
exact mechanism for initiation, but I agree that insolation isn't
necessary - it's just that with the poor data I had, it seemed to fit
the bill. The proximity of the Chiltern range must have been a factor.
Something worth extracting out of the model diagnostics for anyone who's
got access to same.
