Good morning everyone.

Thessaloniki had its exciting moments during the last evening, as
thunderstorms developed around the city and soon affected it. 80.3 mm at
Kalamaria (eastern Thessaloniki) in a couple of hours, more at adjacent
sites.

Shortly before that, relative humidity plummeted down to 7% (!) here in SE
Athens as anvils from distant Peloponnesian thunderstorms had joyfully
decided to inhibit overnight radiation cooling over the city right from its
start -and I'm still trying to understand why dew point readings dropped
down to -12C from the cosy +10...+13C levels it had been persisting in. DP
back to +9C now and life's back to normal..

If she's in Chalkidiki, she probably missed *the* thunderstorm but must have
received rain.
