Great pictures - taken, I see, around 8 o'clock, when it appears to have
peaked. Unfortunately we had cloud cover then. The sky cleared later but
we saw no more than a green and red glow to the north.

Same here. If I was outside once last night, I was outside dozens of times
looking for it. But it seems to have been overcast at the critical times.
