Grey and cold early on with a touch of frost - the first of the autumn.
Quite sunny from mid-morning until mid-afternoon - then dull and misty.
Drizzle after dusk and a spell of rain from 19.00 - quite heavy just after
20.00 before it stopped again. Moderate SW wind gusted fresh at times in
the rain and veered NW in the late evening. Gradual rise in temperature
through the day.
