Default Snow - But not settling

Almost true blizzard up here around 1400 this afternoon for the best
part of half an hour. It put down another 3cm or so. Lots of spin
drift for the rest of the afternoon making some sections of road have
visibility measured in feet and the drifts rebuilding across.

Not very nice at all then but the late afternoon was bright sunshine.

I was supposed to go to a meeting at the top side of Penrith tonight, but
gave my apologies (it is too damned far to trail backwards and forwards on a
night especially as tomorrow looks hectic anyway) and given the weather I'm
glad it did

What is 'spin drift'?
Somebody else mentioned it on another thread and I haven't
come across the term before.
