Hi All.
Been snowing steadily here in West Wickham, but not settling due to earlier rain. Has now started raining, but I expect as temps fall later, will turn back to snow, and will hopefully settle. Anyone got any reports near to me? Cheers Rob |

Anyone got any reports near to me? no where near you but we had snow blow across the yard here in South Cumbria about 4:30pm. No sign of settling, only lasted about ten minutes but most we have had all winter so far Jim Webster |

Here on the North Downs in Surrey conditions are becoming difficult with the
wind picking up and snow blown horizontal. It has been snowing mostly all day but it is all happening as far as lying thickly above about 150 metres or 500 feet. I tried to get to the higher part of the Downs on my way back from an afternoon engagement but the road was becoming treacherous so I turned back. The conditions at the top of Botley Hill 267 metres south of Warlingham must now be extremely interesting with drifting now starting in earnest. Altitude really shows today with the bottom of my road with hardly any snow at 80 metres and quite a cover 3cm to 4cm at 160 metres. A couple of miles further north and into London nothing at all. It put down another 3cm or so. Lots of spin drift for the rest of the afternoon making some sections of road have visibility measured in feet and the drifts rebuilding across. Not very nice at all then but the late afternoon was bright sunshine. -- Cheers Dave. pam is missing e-mail |

I'd have thought Anita would have popped up if anything significant had occurred. I went shopping in Penrith on Monday and there was very little sign of any snow in Melmerby and nothing at all by Langwathby (took some "after the flood" photos at Langwathby Bridge) or around Penrith. Currently: -3.6C F0 -- (Little jump in air temp at 2130ish, it was below -6C) -- Cheers Dave. pam is missing e-mail |
