I'm still sifting through my paper records but it looks like 4.2 will be one
of the lowest maximums, though there are many that get near to that figure but they just don't quite make it. Unfortunately I have incomplete figures for March 2001 (when you had 5 below this figure). About to look at 1993; I need to get this stuff typed into a spreadsheet! _______________________ Nick G Worcester 45m amsl "Tudor Hughes" wrote in message oups.com... Since 1989 there have been 12 maxima here below 4.2°C in March. There were 3 in 1993, 2 in 1996, 2 in 1999 and 5 in 2001. There were a whole lot more in 1987 as well. Today's max so far is 1.9°C, with sunny intervals and occasional very light snow flurries. Tudor Hughes, Warlingham, NE Surrey, 556 ft. |

Currently 5.5C at 16:00. There appears to be enough warmth in the sun now,
even with a cold northerly to raise the temperature significantly, maybe your higher altitude and 'relative' proximity to the North Sea & the Continent keep the temperatures suppressed under these conditions. _______________________ Nick G Worcester 45m amsl "Tudor Hughes" wrote in message oups.com...
