Blizzard conditions and visibility down to a few hundred yards. Snowing most
of the morning so far. No doubt a few more inches will be added on the Downs to the foot already lying. Still no sign of the showers dieing out - they are still piling in off the sea. Last shower lasted 30 minutes, caused the temperature to drop to 0.2°C at 1345Z. Left a fresh deposit of 2cm of snow including 1cm on many vertical surfaces (fences, walls, etc.). Visibility was reduced to abou 20-30m at one point. Wind is now whipping it up.
