As I understand it, on Fri, 04 Mar 2005 02:32:58 +0000, David Mitchell
reported this: I was most surprised to see the pictures of snow in the SE, on BBC News. Was there a degree of exaggeration there in the reporting? I'll leave it for the guys from Kent to comment. It's just that watching them dig out a Land Rover from the snow of no great depth was slightly unbelievable. (Speaking as an owner previously). I did think it was a little OTT, especially if they could switch the vehicle into 4-wheel drive.... |

![]() "Geoff F." wrote in message ... Doesn't seem to anyone posting from the North-West of England. I'm about 12 miles from Blackburn, & it's been a bright sunny day, about 46F (at a guess) with a cool northerly breeze. I was most surprised to see the pictures of snow in the SE, on BBC News. Hi Geoff, I'm a regular lurker from your area. About 12 miles from Blackburn too. Brierfield to be exact. Where exactly are you? Mark |
