Thanks Nick and everybody else for that. I did locate the original
bookmarks so all is not lost, however, because any new bookmark I had placed in the 'imported' IE Favourites things become a little muddled. It's probably about time I sorted out the millions of bookmarks I have :-) ps: I've just bookmarked that link as well g Keith (Southend) *********************** Weather Home & Abroad http://www.southendweather.net On Sun, 13 Mar 2005 11:03:29 +0000, Nick wrote: - And on Fri, 11 Mar 2005 22:49:25 +0000, it was spake thus in said in message "Keith (Southend)" : Thanks for all your replies, but I still can't find it, I don't seem to have 'Application Data folder after my user name in Documents and Settings. I also did a search for a folder with that name and drew a blank. Keith (Southend) Best way to find it is to use Windows search and look for bookmarks.html which will return a few ! Just select the largest/most recently accessed. As was said before, you can go to the Bookmarks menu then Manage then File from that window and Export to My Documents as a backup... Then all you have to do is to use the same procedure to get to Import and it's all restored... The other thing to do is to do is back up your profile - see http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile on how to do this... HTH ? |
