I have a Davis vantage pro, and I want to know what software other people
use to capture the data from the weather station, or similar station. I use at the moment weather display but I am having trouble with it. Its been running since October and it has only got data from mid February and I guarantee that the mid February information will have gone by April! So what other software could i use? Weather link? Any other software i could trial? Stuart |

I looked at WeatherDisplay, which has great eye candy but decided that the cost couldn't be justified on those grounds alone. Similarly for Virtual Weather Station, which I used in it's infancy. The only problem I've found with WeatherLink is that an error occurs if using the internet facility with the strip chart or weather bulletin displays active. I get over this by continuously monitoring my web site! -- Alan White Twenty-eight miles NW of Glasgow, overlooking Loch Goil and Loch Long in Argyll, Scotland. Weatherlink is a good bet, but you might want to take a look at a set of reviews at: http://www.ag-weather.com/reviews.html JGD www.weatherstations.co.uk I'm using Weatherlink, but I think it's pretty average rather than good. I started with Weather Display which I thought was far superior, but developed faults and was unreliable. Weatherlink has certainly been reliable, which is extremely important, but one day I will change, so will watch comments here with interest. Thanks John for the link. -- David Mitchell, 70m amsl, Langtoft, East Riding of Yorkshire. |
