For the folks in Minnesota (or similar places in the mid-west US) it
doesn't sound impressive. However, in The Netherlands, a country with a very moderate climate, it is! On the morning of March 4th a temperature of -20.7 C was recorded as a national low. Today a national high of 21.7 C was rercorded. A swing of over 42 degrees Celsius. It is a new national record - this temperature swing within a calender month. Evert, I'm not sure what you mean.. do you mean that the 21.7C was the highest max. ever recorded for March? At what station because according to my data Gilze-Rijen reported 20.9C (which is still quite nice). Regarding to the absolute highest max, De Bilt reported 21.8C on 1989-03-28. Gilze-Rijen reported 22.1C on the that day. But indeed, yesterday was a nice day.. ![]() Richard |

It is quite extraordinairy, yes, And we sure had a lovely day ![]() Overcast right now -- however sun's trying to peep through!! Wijke SE Flevopolder Centre of the Netherlands |

Evert, I'm not sure what you mean.. snip It seems fairly clear to me. I think that Evert is saying that 42.4C is the greatest temperature range ever recorded in the Netherlands within a single calendar month. -- John Hall "Never play cards with a man called Doc.
