Yes I know it's petty, but I just saw this on TWO (yes I look)
"I see the slagging has already sarted on USW http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=e...demon.co.uk%2B Sad really eh Brian, I think we may see a split jet too and LP's starting to zip towards N France could give us some real winter storms down in the south. This could allow ridging mid atlantic but nothing to the NE due to continued Jet towards W Scandi. In your original LRF did you see the first cold speel being from one of these transient northerlies? I think we may see the first of these mid decmember and the pattern repeat itself throughout the winter" Now three things 1) What slagging? 2) Anyhow if people make outrageous forecast eventually they deserve to be "slagged" 3) As for these cutting-edge meteoroligist over on TWO, as you can read from the quote are now suggesting "Yes they are interesting, however, the MetO run to me this morning doesn't seem to be suggesting true zonality in the next week. It looks more likely to me that the jet will split a lot quicker than he anticipated (Will) and blocking will become established once more". Now what gets me is this, it was Will who suggested in his recent post that "But if the jet sinks further south then there is a possibility of the flow splitting and setting up a blocked pattern again, usually behind a deep low which becomes slow moving to the south of us" What a cheek! TWO have taken this from Will, as if it was their analysis (Brians) They wouldn't in a million years have come up with this. But then they have the brass to suggest that Will has underestimated a possibility that he him self highlighted. Now for my prediction for the winter on TWO I believe there will be Severe Out breaks of Plagarism this winter. With the occassional milder spells of Denial. Humbleness levels will be well below average. We can also expect around Christmas another spell of very mobile type frantic posts. I think the the main feature of Winter on TWO will be the establishment of Banality and this could last for a few more years yet. It's my first forecast but I'm very confident. |

1) What slagging?
Looks like just you, then Lawrence :-) Unfortunately not everyone is in tune with your brand of humour. When I said I was half way there the other day someone berated me for calling myself a "half wit" ! I don't agree with everything you say (although most) but you are a "must read" Cheers, Dave |

Perhaps your paranoia is making you see things that aren't there. |
