Northerly air and temperatures similar to those in the early part of the
month with a forecast decline just to make sure it ends as it began.

Is there not a lamb:lion saying regarding March? I cannot remember how
that is said, but I don't think is covers being the same at beginning
and end.

(For calcio fans ... Italia v Scozia ... in a couple of hours ...)

March is said to "come in like a lion and go out like a lamb". I always took
this to mean that there would be wild weather at the beginning and quiet at
the end of March, not that it would be the same.

Thanks Anne, and yes I agree ... I just did not know which way around it
was supposed to be.

You can actually find both versions in the literature ! Although
Anne's version is the commoner of the two.
