Looks like someone who could have used a North American style remote car
starter.

Have you not noticed the obvious?

(Unbelievably typical response to my posts on newsgroups.)

No, am I being especially naive?

(Unbelievably typical response to my posts on newsgroups.)

Now that's even more confusing.

Like trade, religion and politics; astronomy, navigation and thaumaturgy
rely heavily on observations.

Your aside that it was clean seemed to miss the point that he had in
fact
accomplished nothing despite having done half the work.

Please don't hesitate to ask if you need yet more clues. I am of course,
nothing if
not something.

For anyone interested - the language at the end of this video is
Norwegian. The slogan on the next-to-last frame means "Get your day off to
a better start".

The clip is an advert by the Norwegian oil company Statoil for the
"Breakfast Club" that they run from their service stations. You become a
member of the club by buying one of the mugs illustrated in the last frame.
Membership entitles you to be served free coffee for a year at any of the
Statoil petrol stations in Norway.
