I recall reading that the general direction of travel was up from the east of the med along the north of it off the coast at France and/or Spain then up over the British Isles and on to Scandinavia where the Swedes think we did it. Monday was remarkably clear and visibility today was virtually brilliant too, limited only by the capabilitiy of human eyes; the Argosaronic isles and even the snowy mountains of the Peloponnese were visible from SE Athens (to my southwest). The sun sets behind Mt Parnes after an April shower on Monday: http://www.nifada.com/Temp/fire_1_real.jpg picture by Petros Vasileiou. Ski resorts on continental Greece got some fresh snow through Monday, while snow levels reached about 900m again in the northwest of the country.
