Brussels bleak and wet - sleet early evening
 

Brussels on Friday 17 December

Overcast. Rain started mid-morning - light at first but moderate from
early afternoon. Teeming rain late afternoon and early evening as the low
passed nearby.

Sharp fall in temperature late afternoon as the wind backed from S to NE -
sleet mixed with the rain for a while after 17.00 local time. Temperature
rose again early evening as the wind backed further to NW and freshened.
Rain stopped late evening.

Brussels Uccle 6.1°C - overnight minimum 4.6°C - and 19 mm rain.
Brussels Airport 6.5°C - overnight minimum 5.4°C - and 11 mm.
