Yet strangely this map doesn't seem to correlate:

which is showing massive areas of colder than usual water which are
growing by the month. The Pacific is a particular large anomaly, but so
are areas of the Atlantic, mostly south, but not exclusively. One
wonders what is upwelling in these areas.
