Just seen the forecast at 6.30 pm tonight on BBC1. So it seems that they
have now finally killed off the synoptic chart. I am not impressed at all. Is there anywhere on TV that still has it, or is it now left to the Times and Telegraph newspapers to put one on. -- ************************************************** ********** Gavin Staples. Looking at some of the initial comments I believe that many on this
newsgroup will have a dislike for the new format. So it is up to you to add to the chorus of disapproval and vent your anger at the BBC to change it back. Before I hear any defeatist replies of "What's the point, they'll never climbdown on their decision" remember - the BBC were forced to change back to the original opening music of Eastenders in the early '90s. Get writing now!! |

Often rely on this on extended hill trips for planning future days. No charts combined with the near disappearance of Northern Scotland is bad news. Its so hard to follow with all the moving about, much prefer if I can be allowed to look at the area I am interested in for the brief time its on., Richard Webb |
