BBC Graphics - a new hope!

Just watched the local forecast from BBC South (South Today). The local forecaster started with a synoptic chart!. She followed up by mentioning the pressure in the Atlantic, and then gave offshore and onshore wind forecasts for the next four days. There was even a display of the local pressure. Totally agreed; an excellent forecast. But what were the odd white boxes on the isobars? Were they labels showing the pressure of that isobar? No sign of the pre-7pm forecast, so basically the best forecast of the day is the local forecast during the 6:30pm news! -- Jonathan Stott Canterbury Weather: http://www.canterburyweather.co.uk/ Reverse my e-mail address to reply by e-mail |
