There is - unfortunately I missed the South Today forecast but in the most recent News 24 forecast, Darren Bett showed the NW Atlantic way beyond the confines of the British Isles, and included a wind field (animated wind arrows). The arrows were far too small in the North, because of the weird map perspective used, but that can be fixed and it shows the presenters are able and willing to try new things and tweak the implementation. I hope that one by one, some of the best bits of the old system will creep back in - rainfall radar sequences and perhaps even a NW Atlantic pressure chart at the start. I'm sure the brown background will change, too... given time. -- Dave |
