No need to rush, it's still wrong 12 hours later.

and take a look at:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/cumbria/weather...st/index.shtml

Berwick-upon-Tweed is, in reality, on the east coast to the ESE of
Edinburgh, roughly where the d of tweed is...

Evidently they've moved it, but it's still several miles inland. Last
time I was there it was very much a coastal port.

Currently it's shown as
somewhere near Lanark! Barrow isn't quite right either.

And Edinburgh is now apparantly *in* the Firth of Forth.

Has no one with a map checked the coordinates for towns in the places
overlay?

As always, if they can't get the simple details correct it makes the
rest worthless. Are the temps correct? Are the rainfall blobs in the
correct place?

One thing which is very apparent is that on the Rain/Cloud composite
images available at

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/cloudrain.shtml

the satellite imagery is displaced about 150 miles north of its correct
position. This error has been consistent over the past few days.

The radar imagery on these composite images is in the correct position.

This is supposed to show the weather in Beds Herts & Bucks, half of
bucks is cut off, and I didn't know that Norwich and Boston we in my
local area!

I've complained but I'm not holding my breath.

Has no one with a map checked the coordinates for towns in the places

her a pixel there as the view zooms about. Haven't they heard of
anti-aliasing?

Luton is now in Shropshire. As are Liverpool, Grimsby (or is that in
the sea?) and London.
Actually that's the same as the "Midlands" map I have come to hate for
omuitting everything west of the M6.
