I am waiting for winter when they show the wind and snow together, that should be fun. What's his name Bronco Lane ? should have been and gone by then if the axe falls in any of the right places on that dumb-arsed site. I have the last forecast from Countryfile from the good old days and the first from the bad new ones. I wish I knew how to post them on the internet to show anyone who doesn't know what the fuss is about, what the fuss is about. It's a wretched thing to watch. The new style corresponds to a tiny fraction of the information that was posted in the earlier one. What a pity there are only a dozen or so people who really care. There are more winkers than that running the show, that can pull the wool over the screen. I would have thought that one of the independent sites would have pulled their fingers out bu now and capture the market. Obviously there isn't one? -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |

Having just returned from a house-hunting expedition in France, I am aghast
at what now passes for BBC weather forecasting. It was crap before I went, and just about unwatchable now. Peter Cockroft has always been a prat, but now he talks of "blue puddles" and how we can "see the rain falling down from the sky" whilst I'm trying to make out what all the blues, beiges and greys mean. The national "forecast" has us zooming all around the country to locations which I'm positive are often in the wrong place. I dread to think of the result if and when Dan'l Corbett appears..... Back to France for me, soon as poss. CK "Phil Layton" wrote in message ... Peter Cockcroft said at 6.55 - just look at those wind arrows drop out by the early hours... could I see them drop out, could I hell - they all looked the same speed and size to me! Then he said tomorrow - just look at the sun brightening up - eerr sorry thats the land becoming brighter as the suns in the sky .... Oh My God Phil -- http://homepage.ntlworld.com/phil.layton/meteo.htm |
