I was looking at this just before you posted, and thought to myself
'lummy, the IOW is in for it, lucky buggers'.

Not that I wish them harm, just good fireworks.

Yeh, initially I thought it was going to hit Portland but then the 2 areas
seemed to merge and head eastwards. No rain but distant lightning out to
sea. Not hit land just yet, but according to the site it should imminently.
Not a breath of wind...Temp 20Deg, 43 humid, 1021 rising very very slightly,
Bournemouth.

Certainly appeared to be geading east but now 21.45 looks like the activity
is heading west!

I notice the stuff over France has a westward tendancy as well.

Along the cost here in Sussex the sky looks a bit messy with signs of
instability, now do i wait up or will it die a death????

Yep seeing some lightning to the SW and a few large drops falling in
Springbourne too. Expect it will be short-lived though, looking at the
sferics and Avbrief radar. Appears to be moving NE-wards so will be fun
while it lasts.
