I won't get in for this slapping stuff but I have just had the forecast
given out for Monday last night, now for Tuesday. Today was supposed to
be "grey, murky and humid" with lower temperatires - 24-26C. I've got
strong winds, some sun and a predicted 33C now. Not to worry though,
the front is back where it was and I will get still get Monday's
weather on Tuesday. It certainly was a different "crew" on this
morning's shift!

To be fair, I saw a News 24 forecast late last night that gave 30c in the
south-east (at least I think it was last night). This was upped to 33c

this
morning watching BBC Breakfast.

This is starting to remind me of some of the
forecast-but-never-materialising breakdowns in severe winters of the
past such as 1963. A week ago, the forecast was cooler conditions in
the South by Sunday...then Monday...now Tuesday...maybe. Some of these
well established hot airmasses, too, seem to be harder to shift than
the computer models think.

It's a another scorcher here in Fareham, 29C as I write albeit with
some thin high cloud today. Not a drop of rain today or yesterday and
an overnight minimum of 20.5 degrees C. Phew!

I agree with all of you on this one. I am now on 32C, 90f at the time of
writing this. This is my 3rd consecutive day of 32 and over.
So much for cooler and fresher. I suppose it is all relative, but I am
not about to put on my long trousers and a vest :-).

Regards, Gavin.
