You are able to make a reasonable comparison with the met office
rainfall radar which gives a good idea of the location of storms.
The present prediction by your Ipswitch location does not seem to fit
the bill. (no offence intended)

Wetterzentrale has shown a TS fired up in the NE in the last hour or so
but it's to the south of here. I'm watching now tho as the ukmo is
showing red on radar to my SW heading my way (:

I agree you cannot beat good old fashioned observation, although I am
trying to perfect this damned equipment(in between the occasional glass
of the red stuff) and I do note with some enthusiasm that lightning is
being noted in your area.
