Default First Day (this year) over 100 dergees F

Heck, even the Clouds didn't want to get close to the ground Today.
But with 5% Humidity and the Temperature hitting 101 who can blame them!

We hit 103.4 F with some humidity June 9th this year in South Carolina. It's
been hot here. My pool temp. is a constant 89 F, it got up to 92F...
Yep I have a weather station setup. La Crosse 5915 I think it is? Using
heavy weather & publisher. Updates every minute.

First time I ever experienced 90+ % humidity was 1971 in Georgia
while in the Army. While it keeps the Plants Green (and lots of other things
that arn't normally green ;-) )I think I'll do what I can to avoid it.
Here's a link to Weather Stations scattered allover Arizona. If you
scroll down, ours is the one listed at Pearce. Click in WxGraph to see a 5
day report.
Looks like you're an Astronomer. Images appear to be "Webcam" type
shots. What kind of Scope(s) do you have? Nice Shots BTW.
I've got a few myself which was part of my reason for leaving Calif.
Back in 2000 for S.E. Arizona.

Here in Scotland the humidity is ridiculous. It's normally 70-80, and
I've very rarely seen it below 60.

Same here in the Midwest near lake Michigan. 60 % is a dry day.
Can't imagine 5 %!

Hummm. Maybe that's why My Great Grandfather left Scotland in the late
1800's and ended up in Tucson. Just couldn't stand the Humidity ;-)

What 5% means is you can pull a Beer Mug out of the Freezer, but it'll
never be Frosty. No need for Coasters!
As to 60 being part of anything to do with Humidity we rarely even have
Dew Points up in the 60's except when it is or has just finished Raining.

I'd gladly trade a daily 60° dewpoint for what we have typical at this
time of year.

(Flash flood watch again for the next couple of days...)
